The pixel art is good, the music is fantastic, the gameplay is addicting, the story is decent, the challenge is moderate, and it has a reasonable length especially for its price. The main mechanic that brings the game down for me is the crystal system being complete RNG and the crafting system. Mechanics/Battle system: 7/10 (The overdrive system is a fun and unique system, didnt have any issues with it. Polish: 10/10 (Experienced 0 bugs during my entire playthrough) Amazing world building, twists and detail put into this game) Story: 10/10 (honestly a highlight considering how lazy some indie games are when it comes to story and just putting together something boring and predictable. I have become, in recent years, one of those gamers that just wants to throw myself into the game, have fast action and don't care too much about story but Chained Echoes managed to bring back the old me that loves a gripping storyline, characters and sitting through cutscenes. After completing the game and 100%ing the achievements, I can say that this is one of the best JRPGs I have played in quite some time.
